LOKITHOR J401X Portable Jump Starter 2500A Peak with -40°F Smart Pre-Heating for 8.5L Gas/6.5L Diesel

Sorry for the lousy photos but as you can see the lokithor has 2 relays wired in parallel for redundancy and heavier duty battery cable connections then the Gooloo. The lokithor cables are heavier gauge (6awg aluminum wire) vs (8awg aluminum wire) and have better designed clamps.
The overall dimensions and weight are similar between the two units even though the gooloo is advertised at almost twice the capability. So I am assuming output is similar though I did not verify. Lokithor has the flash light on the same side as the clamps and it is brighter than the Gooloo.

The gooloo has slightly better fit and finish. A dedicated boost button and error code chart on the back of the unit. I will have to make my own cheat sheet from the owners manual for the lokithor as the unit is not intuitive.

Overall the lokithor features are nicer and hopefully the unit is going to be more reliable. Only time will tell.

Much bigger than I was expecting! I bought this to replace my old one that the batteries are swelling up on. This new one is easily 2x the size of my old one. No necessarily a bad thing as it will be able to jump better. The light on this is super bright! Would be helpful in certain situations. There are a couple things I would change. It should come with a case, whether it’s soft or hard, just something to keep everything together. Also, should include a brick to charge. Overall would recommend, just be aware of how large it is.

Compared to lead acid battery car starters, this product is light and compact. It has the further advantage that it can be easily stored in a trunk without taking up much room. It has a wide operating temperature range, so it can be left in your car in sub-freezing weather because it has a built on heater for the lithium-ion batteries inside it’s case.
The product also has a built-in flashlight capable of a steady white light or quick or slow flashing red light.
In addition to starting cars, the product can charge your iPhone or power other devices via the included USB cord. The product is packaged in an attractive box perfect for giving as a gift for the person who has everything.
Operating the device is simple provided your battery has a partial charge. There is a separate procedure involving separate button combinations if your battery is completely dead. I consider this a drawback if it is in the dead of night in a parking lot and your car won’t start. The instruction manual is clear, but I question the need to refer to a instruction manual at the worst possible time.
Other than this, the product is a good solution and I am happy it will be in my trunk. It replaces a much larger lead acid starter and is a better solution for starting a vehicle.

Small and durable. It’s a lot easier to store than the big jumper cables I used to have. And the light on it is really handy.

To start off with I’m a farmer which means half the time a mechanic and fighting equipment not starting. A couple years ago with purchased the name brand booster pack GB150. To be honest it’s been a love hate relationship as warranty has replaced it twice due to issues and just doesn’t perform as we expected. We needed to have another portable battery pack so started looking for alternatives. I came across the Lokithor J401X which is advertised smaller than the one we already have. The price was right so wanted to try it and compare. Pleasantly surprised!!! The build quality is equal to the more expensive but the Lokithor has much better display, light, and charging port options. The battery clamps are high quality tight springs. The screen is bright and easy to view. The led light is bright and nice feature. USB C is much nicer than alternatives. Smaller in size than competitor. This obviously doesn’t matter after first opening booster but the packaging is top notch!! I felt like I was opening an Apple device! Nicely done Lokithor! I will keep testing but currently have jumped side by side, truck, diesel service truck and booster still shows 75% battery. As it stands currently I will grab this booster over the $300 competitors any day.
